Dear D.O.C(Department of Conservation),
I think we shouldn’t have fishing net in New Zealand
Reason one: Hector dolphins are getting tangled in the nets and die because they can’t breath. There is only 55 left in the North Island.
Reason two: Some fish men are catching lots of fish some are too big or too small so they could be wiped out in a few years
Reason three: Fishing poles/rods aren’t that bad they still catch fish and you have more fun this way, with nets you putting it in the water, waiting 10 minutes, pull it up, take the fish out go home I mean what’s the fun in that?
So that’s three reasons why we should not have fishing nets and leave some fish for the future.
